Wondering what on earth these #1978/6 yard signs could possibly mean? The idea behind them is exactly designed to make you ask that question.

The number, 1978, is the number of fatal overdoses recorded in Massachusetts from the year 2017 and the number 6 represent the number of fatal drug overdoses which First Responders attended to in Wilmington in 2017. Sadly, the number (6) may be higher if a Wilmington resident overdosed out of town, and does not reference only Wilmington residents.
These signs will hopefully make us all aware of the scope of this problem for citizens who have lost their battle with addiction and provide a number as to the families who have lost loved ones. The Wilmington Rotary Club hopes you will join us in this important effort.
Should you wish to display one of these #1978/6 yard signs to bring a subtle but poignant awareness to this crisis contact Samantha Reif at 978-694-2064 or Michael Burns at 508-574-7897. We are requesting a $10.00 donation.
